Frequently asked questions

How to subscribe to OYO service?
Download OYO Messenger and register with your mobile number. Wait and input the SMS verification code to complete the subscription process. After successfully subscribed the service, you need to do some basic setting.
Can I set my personal greeting?
Yes, You may pre-record two different greetings.
How to do initial setting?
Go to “Call Forward Settings”, click on “Busy”. A busy call forward code will then be displayed on your phone’s dial pad. Please click on Call/Dial to activate busy call forward at your mobile operator. OYO will then answer your call when you are not available (e.g. busy, no answer, out of signal). Also, make sure notification is turned on
How to set voicemail transcription?
Go to “Voicemail Setting”, you can set the transcription language. Currently, the supported voicemail transcription languages are: Cantonese, English, Mandarin.
Cannot receive the verification code.
If you do not receive SMS within 5 minutes, please use your mobile phone to make a phone call to the number shown on the subscription page. Note, you must enable your phone’s caller ID when making the call
What to do if I am out of town?
Mobile roaming service charge can be very expensive. We suggest you to activate your mobile phone “Do Not Disturb/Out of Town” call forwarding to avoid potential roaming charge from the operator.
How does OYO handle my calls?
When your call is diverted to OYO, a greeting message will be played. If caller leaves a voice message, it will be sent to your OYO Messenger, otherwise, a missed call alert (MCA) will be sent.
I cannot get notification. What’s wrong?
Make sure notification is turned on. At the phone “Notification Manager”, turn on notification for OYO Messenger.
